The Anti-Malware service of Zyxel not only supports a stream-based engine that scans files at the gateway for viruses and other threats but also runs cloud query simultaneously to leverage the multiple-sourced databases from Zyxel security cloud, a machine learning threat intelligence that can adapt to new unknown threats. This extends the search coverage to the cloud database when the target malware signature can’t be found and is not limited by the size of the local database. The hybrid mode protection effectively maximizes the malware detection rate without sacrificing throughput.
